Amerikan bağımsız sinemasının en önemli ödüllerinden Bağımsız Ruh (Independent Spirit) Ödülleri, sahiplerini buldu. Sekiz dalda aday gösterilen “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” yedi ödülü birden kucaklayrak geceye damga vurdu.
Bu yılki Bağımsız Ruh Ödüllerinde oyuncu kategoreilerinde cinsiyet ayrımı kaldırıldı. Yani Cate Blanchett ve Michelle Yeoh, en iyi performans yarışında Paul Mescal ile karşı karşıya geldi. Bir filmin yönetmeni, kast yönetmeni ve oyuncu kadrosuna verilen Robert Altman ödülünün bu yılki sahibi “Women Talking” oldu.
